LOS ANGELES, CA – August 7, 2012 – Meital Dohan is set to reprise her much-talked about roll on the Showtime series Weeds for the milestone 100th episode airing in September. Meital first made an appearance on Weeds during a six episode story arch in 2006 as Yael Hoffman, the admissions director at the Yeshiva (Hebrew school) who found herself in a “compromising position” with Justin Kirk’s character Andy Botwin.

Meital Dohan will also be releasing a new remix EP featuring several versions of her new single “On Ya (Featuring Sean Kingston).” In addition to the single, which was produced by Brass Knuckles, the EP will include remixes from several renowned DJs, including Steven Redant, Guy Scheiman, DeMarko, DJ Skee, and DJ Reflex. “On Ya” has been praised by critics since its premiere earlier this summer. Interview recently called Meital a “renaissance woman of the type rarely seen these days” while MTV branded the new song “sultry, fizzy pop with a propulsive beat that evokes all your favorite David Guetta [songs]" and Pop Crush claims "On Ya" as an "effervescent party jam"!
Meital recently teamed up with Sean Kingston to shoot the music video for “On Ya.” The clip is being directed by Ray Kay (Lady Gaga’s “Pokerface,” Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends,” Justin Bieber’s “Baby”) and will premiere later this summer.
Until then, check out Meital's recent live performance from Le Loft @ Metropolis in Paris HERE and this just-released skit “Staying Focused” HERE.

Meital created her upcoming debut album I’m In Hate with Love with legendary producer Che Pope (Dr. Dre, Eminem, Lauryn Hill). Recently a highlight of Miami’s electronic music celebration, Winter Music Conference, Meital was singled out in a Miami Herald feature dubbing her “kickass”: http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/03/23/2708362/kickass-performer-meital-dohan.html.
Known from the Showtime hit series Weeds and her role on Woke Up Dead, Meital has received many awards, including an Israeli Tony award two Israeli Academy Award nominations for Best Actress. She is also a published author, playwright and comedian. Meital is breaking onto the music scene with the release of “YUMMY.” The song behind her viral video, “Yummy Boyz,” circulated in clubs and radio stations nationwide, including KIIS FM and has been remixed by some DJs such as Danny Verde, Electrolightz, Hector Fonseca, and Chew Fu (Rihanna, Timbaland, Katy Perry, Gossip, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga). Her music and lyrics are catchy, upbeat and exude a Borat meets Portishead vibe.
